I’m interested in partnering with TLDP as a client.

Thank you for taking a step towards interior design with an impact. Find answers to any of your questions below.

Who are Juniors?

TLDP Juniors are aspiring interior designers who are either currently in their third year of interior design studies or fresh graduates looking for industry experience. They have registered with TLDP to take on the opportunity to expand their portfolios which are usually filled with theoretical school projects as soon as they graduate from school. Partnering with us enables you to empower the next generation of interior designers by providing them an opportunity to design a realistic space that they can include in their portfolios when they look for a job.

What makes TLDP unique?

Gone are the days of interns and junior designers drafting what their seniors have designed. At TLDP, we flip this traditional process: Juniors are put in the driver’s seat with their innovative and creative concepts, while seniors (in this case, Mentors) provide guidance and refinement. Our operations are conducted 100% online via our platform, fulfilling worldwide client demand. Got a project in France but you’re based in Indonesia? Partner with us and you could receive design proposals from Juniors based in Canada, South Africa, and the UK who are mentored by a seasoned interior designer based in the USA.

How does TLDP ensure the quality of designs?

Our Juniors undergo a rigorous application process to verify their eligibility and skills. They work under the guidance of experienced Mentors with over 10 years of industry experience to ensure that you receive high-quality deliverables, each design element meeting your needs.

What types of projects can TLDP work on?

We accept a wide range of project typologies, most specifically:

  • Residential
  • Office Workspace
  • F&B
  • Retail
  • Hotel

Whether it’s a 4 m2 bathroom or a 2,000 m2 office space, let our Juniors and Mentors design the space of your dreams.

Can I see previous work from your Juniors?

You may view our portfolio by clicking here. We hope this helps you gauge our Juniors’ talent and skills.

NOTE: We prioritize fair opportunity for all our talented Juniors. Clients cannot directly select specific Juniors to work on their projects. Here’s how it works:

  • We make client projects available for Juniors to sign up for.
  • Sign-ups are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Only the first THREE Juniors who successfully sign up will be assigned to work on the project.

This system ensures a fair and transparent process for all our Juniors.

What’s the process once I choose a design proposal?

The Junior will prepare the documentation you’ll need to start implementing your design. This document, called Furniture, Fixture, and Equipment (FF&E), may be used for your reference to start your DIY project on your space. You can also give this file to your contractor.

How long does a typical project take?

The timeline for each project varies depending on its complexity and scope. We provide an estimated timeline during the initial consultation. Based on our past residential projects with an area size of 4m2 to 40m2, the average timeline takes approximately 40 days.

The speed will also depend on the time you, as the client, can give your feedback. Clients are responsible for providing timely feedback on submitted designs to keep the project moving. If no feedback is received within 15 business days, the project will be considered complete and closed.

To help you stay on track, TLDP sends 3 reminders:

  • Day 7
  • Day 10
  • Day 15

If there’s still no feedback, the project will automatically close 1 week after the final reminder. Need extra time? Let us know before the closure deadline, and we’ll review your request.

What if I’m not satisfied with any of the design proposals?

Our goal is to ensure client satisfaction. Our team and the Mentor will work with you to understand your needs better and provide additional options and alternatives if necessary.

Do you also provide contractor services?

No, we do not. TLDP provides you with the blueprint to implement your chosen design but does not work nor partner with any contractors. However, if you are located in an area where our Mentors are based, we can recommend a list of contractors whom Delphine has worked with in the past at no additional charge. TLDP does not take any commissions from these contractors. Please note that we are not liable for any of the suggested contractors’ work or performance.

Are there any additional fees beyond the design fee?

There are NO hidden fees. All costs are transparently communicated upfront with an instant quotation.

How does TLDP contribute to the professional growth of Juniors?

We provide Juniors with real-client project experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to build their portfolios, helping them transition smoothly into the professional world. TLDP connects Juniors not just with clients but with Mentors as well! Mentors can look for prospects who they can hire after the Juniors’ time with TLDP.

I want to jumpstart my interior design career with TLDP as a junior designer.

You’ve come to the right place. The platform was specifically designed for aspiring interior designers like you – still in their studies or fresh graduates seeking industry experience. The best aspect of our platform is that you can engage in it during your free time while simultaneously studying or looking for a full-time job. Find answers to your questions below!

Who can be a Junior?

Contrary to popular belief, a Junior does NOT necessarily pertain to a student in their junior year of studies. TLDP Juniors, short for junior designers, MUST meet any of the two following criteria:

  • You have completed at least TWO years of interior design studies for your bachelor’s degree; or
  • You are a fresh graduate within ONE year from your graduation date (for your bachelor’s or master’s degree).

We also accept students pursuing further studies such as a master’s degree in interior design.

Is there a fee to join TLDP as a Junior?

No, joining TLDP as a Junior is FREE. Our platform is committed to providing equal opportunities for all aspiring interior designers.

Do I get paid as a Junior?

We simulate the bidding process among interior designers and their firms where only the chosen designer/firm receives the contract from the client. Following the same principle, each project will typically have THREE (3) TLDP Juniors proposing their designs. The client will then choose the winning design and the Junior will be rewarded with a percentage of the design fees the platform charges the client. For our design fees, please visit our home page here.

My program requires students to partake in internships or on-the-job training programs. Does TLDP qualify for this program?

Please refer to your school’s career services department for specific requirements for your mandatory internship. TLDP is a registered corporate entity in Singapore with fully remote operations. Selected schools have allowed their students to join our platform as Juniors for their internship. In the case of rendering a certain number of hours, our Design Director will calculate how many TLDP projects you should participate in to fulfill your school requirements.
